Hosting provides a place to put your new website – it does after all need to live somewhere. We use a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) configuration. You have access to Fantastico which allows you to install certain applications fast and with ease. It helps to take the guess work out of setting up a new website. Set up is free and each service is set up manually within 24 hours to ensure you are getting the right solution. This takes the guess work out of the process. You can use a service that sets up your own web space automatically but then what happens when you want to know answers to questions?
Before you buy hosting you will need an address. I use 123-reg as they have been around for a long time and have excellent customer service. I can either buy the domain/address for you or you can purchase it yourself. I do not add anything to the price if you are also taking hosting with me.
