Happy Birthday internet

By Admin • Nov 1st, 2009 • Category: Lead Story

Yes the internet has reached the big four zero this week, not that you will be seeing notices on road junctions or roundabouts wishing it a very happy birthday. I wonder if the pioneers at ARPANET had any idea how big and important the internet would get?

Twitter

By Admin • Jun 28th, 2009 • Category: Lead Story, Twitter

I have been extolling the virtues of Twitter to family and friends and they all come back with what is the point? I must admit I was exactly one of those people less than a month ago, so what have I discovered?

To upgrade or not to upgrade? You can upgrade to Windows 7 to see what all the new features are. Microsoft are allowing IT professionals to install it and see what all the fuss is about. They also advise not to use your main home or business PC?

Are you twittering?

By Admin • May 11th, 2009 • Category: Lead Story, News

I am not a tweeter. I don’t have a user name and password at the moment but it looks like I will succumb soon. It seems everyone is on twitter and tweeting away but is this just the same, as when Facebook was launched? Are those of us without an account missing out?
